Mr. Pearce is currently in his second year as Principal at Flora High School. He had previously served five years as the Assistant Principal and as the Athletic Director for six years. Prior to moving into administration, he taught history for seven years. During that time, he taught U.S. History and World History. He also served as the head baseball coach and served as an assistant coach for the girls' basketball team during his tenure at FHS. Mr. Pearce, who is originally from Louisville, Illinois, graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 1999 with a degree in History. Since then he has completed a specialist's degree in Educational Administration from Eastern Illinois University. Mr. Pearce has a wife, Melanie, who works as the Assistant State's Attorney for Clay County and three children Maddux, Paxon and Alyxandria. Mr. Pearce is an avid runner who has completed 5 marathons. In addition to running he enjoys Crossfit, bow hunting, golfing and spending time with his family.
