The Explorer Project will be complete in class only. Students will complete a chart that includes: dates and voyages of major European explorers. There will be ample classtime provided to the students to allow them to complete the project.

Students will view the flocabulary video over chapter 2 and 3 terms. They will then fill out the missing song lyrics and then answer questions using the information in the lyrics.
Students will use their textbook to define key terms from chapter 3. They will complete a graphic organizer that requires them to: list the key term, define the term, and draw a picture to help them remember the key term's meaning.
Students will be given a packet containing documents, timelines, rosters, etc. about the lost Roanoke colony. The students will use the information provided to work a case study of the lost colony. They will be expected to draw their own conclusions and provide me with original ideas about the mystery.
