My name is Alicia Westjohn and I am the high school business teacher.  My email address is awestjohn@floraschools.com and the phone number is 618-662-8316, extension 132.  My college background is extensive.  I attended Lake Land College and graduated with honors in 1985--A.A.S. in Secretarial Science.  I moved to St. Petersburg, Florida and attended St. Petersburg Junior College (now St. Petersburg College).  I graduated with honors in 1986 and earned an A.A. I returned to Eastern Illinois University where I graduated in 1988 with a Bachelors degree in Business Education and Special Education, cum laude.  In 1990, I graduated with a Master of Science in Special Education while working as a graduate assistant. Finally, I completed my Master of Science in Business Education in 1993 while also working as a graduate assistant.  I taught Special Education at Greenville High School for four years and at Vandalia for six years. I also taught evening classes at Lake Land College for approximately 18 years.  I am currently in my fourteenth year at Flora High School teaching business classes and also serve as business club and senior class sponsor.  I am a caretaker for my brother, Billy and my sister, Millie.  I love to travel to Europe with my niece and five nephews.  My niece and four of my nephews had a blast in Greece and Italy this past summer.  We visited Athens, Delphi, Florence, Rome, Vatican City, Pompeii, Sorrento, and Capri.  Our next adventure will be in 2016 when we do a World War II trip.  If you are interested, contact me at the high school.
