p>Welcome to the new school year! I am very excited to have each and every student in my classroom!

I  am originally from Iowa where I met my husband, Andrew at college. We have moved a few times, living in owa and Illinois with a goal of making it back to Xenia, Andrew’s hometown to raise our kids. This happened last year and we couldn’t be happier. Flora/Xenia is a wonderful place and have met so many great people.

This is my first year teaching in the Flora district. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Graceland University and a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Iowa. I have taught 2 years of fifth grade in Iowa before moving to Illinois, and then I taught a fourth and fifth grade class in Carbondale. After taking time off to be home with kids, I am back and super excited to be teaching again!

I have 3 wonderful children Carsen, Emersen and Guss. We have two cats and just added a puppy to the mix last week! We love being outside, swimming and spending time with our friends and family.
