Dear Eighth Grade Parents,

We will be hosting an important informational meeting regarding course selection for your student’s freshman year of high school. This meeting will take place in the Flora High School Auditorium on Wednesday, February 4, at 7:00 PM.  It will last about an hour.

Eight graders will receive an FHS curriculum guide and schedule request form during their lunch on Monday.  Mr. Pearce and Mrs. Massie will go over some information with them at that time.  Please be sure to look for these papers after school on Monday evening.

Then on Wednesday evening, members of the Flora High School administration and teaching staff will be available to share information about the academic opportunities and course options available to incoming freshmen. This presentation will also provide valuable guidance on planning a student’s course pathway throughout all four years of high school.

We strongly encourage at least one parent or guardian to attend this meeting with their student. We believe this information will be beneficial as you begin planning for a successful transition to high school.
