As District Superintendent, I want to welcome you to our website. Flora Community Unit School District #35 is dedicated to providing a quality education, including numerous academic and extracurricular opportunities, to all our students. The achievement of this goal is dependent on a positive relationship and effective communication with our community. The District is fortunate to have a supportive relationship with our parents, local government, and the business community. These relationships serve our students in ways that the District cannot do alone.

As Superintendent, my goal is to foster academic success through inquiry, high expectations, and responsibility. While District 35 schools embrace individuality; students are expected to work to their full potential. My staff and I recognize that students bring a variety of backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles to the classroom. Clearly, it is our collective responsibility to prepare them, at whatever age and stage of development, so they are ready to continue their education and social growth, eventually entering the community and society functioning as “whole persons” in whatever role they choose for themselves.
