Below is the curriculum map for each band during a typical school year. This school year may have changes due to changes due to COVID-19. Students need to check Google Classroom for quarantine assignments as well as playing their instruments.
FALL
JV BAND:
- Technique/Musicianship
- counting new rhythms, especially sixteenth note patterns
- learn new notes and accidentals
- expand ranges and technical abilities
- Parades:
- learn and then memorize the song
- practice marching while playing
- work on correct feet, how you play and carry your instrument, etc.

- begin learning music for basketball games
VAR.BAND:
- Parades:
- learn and memorize song, practice playing while marching
- Veteran's Day parade performance
- Pep Band:
- refresh & practice regularly all the songs so they remain "performance ready"
- add new songs to current repetoire
WINTER
JV BAND:
- Technique/Musicianship
- learn new notes and accidentals
- expand ranges and technical abilities
- improve musicianship and ensemble awareness
- Concert Band
- Christmas Concert performance
- Pep Band
- continue learning music for basketball games
- goal: add at least 1 song each week
- play at 7&8 grade basketball games

SPRING
